That’s the difference you get when you live at the only not-for-profit independent living facility in Steuben County, and it’s a difference we’re proud to offer seniors of all ages.
Independent Living
People choose Cameron Woods for many reasons. We find that one of the most important factors is the independence and freedom our all-inclusive community provides, especially compared to nursing homes.
While skilled nursing homes are the right fit for some, independent living is much more appropriate for seniors who simply need a little help from day to day. Nursing homes provide round-the-clock medical supervision to keep residents with chronic illnesses in stable condition.
Cameron Woods offers a different experience. While we have staff on-site 24/7 for daily assistance, emergency response and medication reminders, we focus on the happiness, fellowship and safety of residents. Importantly, we don’t provide nursing or memory care for people with advanced dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.

We simplify finances by offering an all-inclusive experience with all amenities automatically covered in the monthly rent.
Comfortable Private Living
Enjoy a private apartment with in-unit utilities, like individual heating and cooling, a basic cable hookup, a telephone, wireless internet (Wi-Fi), and comprehensive maintenance and repair services.
Daily Dining and Activities
All meals throughout the day, including a continental breakfast and restaurant-style dining for lunch and dinner, are included in your monthly rent. Residents often find fellowship around the dining room tables or at one of our many events, programs and outings.
Convenience and Care
We take care of all weekly housekeeping, trash removal, linen laundering, and scheduled transportation for shopping or appointments.
Safety and Community Access
Residents, families and caregivers can relax with 24/7 staff on duty, a pendant emergency call system and simple medication reminders for no additional fee.
Medication Reminders
If you need a little extra assistance with your health, our team is happy to provide medication reminders as part of your all-inclusive rate. We want to ensure peace of mind for everyone, and regular check-ins are a big part of our services. For residents who need more intensive support, we also offer tiered levels of care.
