SPA DAY PHOTOS
Residents awoke New Year's Day to this beautiful winter scenery...
Besides being able to enjoy this beautiful view inside a warm and inviting atmosphere, residents find comfort in knowing that SOMEONE ELSE does all of the shoveling and clearing of walks and drives. Shown to the right...even our Robins stay for the winter! 15-year old, Hannah Alley,
Plays Harps...
Fifteen year old, Hannah Alley, joined residents in the multipurpose room with three of her harps and treated residents to the beautiful sounds of lap, lever and pedal. Hannah explained that harps are named after the way that they create music. Shown below are photos of Hannah and the three harps with which she serenaded residents. The first, the lap harp, she holds on her lap and strums gracefully. The second, lever harp, allows Hannah to change pitch by flipping levers and the third, most complex instrument is the pedal harp. Residents were in awe Hannah and the wonderful music she created with ease. THANK YOU, Hannah! You are a very talented and amazing young lady.

Anniversary Party 2007~
Eight years!
Above, resident Marie with her son Jim, toast to another great year. Resident Dora, shown above at the right helped fill vases with fresh flowers for all of the tables.
Below left, George and Marcena, are seen enjoying cocktail hour. Below right, residents Dave, Bob, Dessie & Ireta, finished up their shrimp cocktail and are awaiting the main course of filet mignon. The food and fun never stops!
Following dinner, special guests, residents and staff retreated
to the multipurpose room where we were treated to the music of the Pokagon Pitch
Pipers. Twelve of the Pitch Pipers joined us and sang both as a group of twelve
and a smaller group performed as a quartet. These lively gentleman compete in
several categories. Below to the right, standing in front of their cohorts is
one of the Pitch Piper Quartets. This was a very special surprise for one of our
residents, Wayne, who is the father of Greg, one of the members of the quartet.
