2006 Food Services Director of the Year
Jennifer
Godsey, Food Services Coordinator for Cameron Woods,
has the distinction of being the 2006 Food Services Director of the Year. Jenny
received this award from the Indiana Assisted Living Federation of America
in recognition of her management skills, menu and food preparation and most
importantly for involving residents in planning and implementation of dining
options. Jenny is seen here with the Indiana Assisted Living Federation Board
President, receiving her award.
Residents meet with Jenny monthly at the "Menu Makers" meeting to discuss their preferences, share menus and let Jenny know what works and what doesn't. She frequently reminds staff that "In my dining room, the residents are in charge."
Our
Activities Department and Food Services Department coordinate resident food with
the activities that are scheduled. Our recent picnic in January themed event combined
colorful decorations and "summertime" games with picnic foods. For pictures of

At Cameron Woods, we enjoy providing banquet and meeting space for area organizations when scheduling will allow. BASIC BUFFET STYLE BANQUET FEES & ROOM RENTAL (Special menu requests are additional)
- Room rental only (This applies if no staff time or food preparation is needed. Multiple room options are available that will accommodate from 8 to 55 depending on your meeting needs). We do not charge residents room rental fees.
$40 room rental (non-resident use)
- 15-20 people banquet
Option #1: $40 set-up fee and $9.00 per person
Option #2: $11.75 per person wave set-up fee
- 21-30 people banquet
Option #1: $40 set-up fee and $9.00 per person
Option #2: $10.50 per person wave set-up fee
- 31-over banquet
Option #1: $40 set-up fee and $9.00 per person
Option #2: $10.00 per person wave set-up fee
Cameron Woods is a smoke free community and there is no smoking permitted in the building or on the grounds.
Out of courtesy to our residents, we ask that all banquets and meetings end no later than 9:30 p.m. and that visitors park in the far lot. (Our entire building and parking areas are fully handicapped accessible.)
